Product Manager – Chinese Media

Description of Duties:

  • Analyse spectrum of digital channels available (web, social, mobile, etc) and make recommendations as to which offer company opportunities to increase the Tax Free Shopping business
  • Support TFS adoption and integration into Chinese channels to deliver Refund Ratio
  • Leverage for marketing opportunities to deliver Issue Ratio
  • With the VP Traveller Engagement, create and manage the product roadmap for company in alignment with product vision and business objectives
  • Understand customer needs and opportunities within the product to drive revenue and create a seamless and frictionless user experience
  • Work with business stakeholders, Product, Commercial, Sales Marketing Managers and Partnership teams, translating the digital strategy into actionable propositions
  • Create detailed requirements documentation that demonstrates KPIs to brief internal and external teams on builds
  • Build (with internal and external teams), manage and own performance of Chinese media channels throughout the lifecycle of the products
  • Review creative to ensure that project meets strategic objectives
  • Partner with Creative, Technology and Account Management to ensure successful project handoff
  • Report on and optimise performance growth and engagement of channels
  • Monitor product performance and make use of customer’s qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform product development strategy
  • Lead the development of insight driven digital strategies for assigned (merchant) clients and new business development
  • Demonstrate the ability to process and understand our client’s category, competitive set and their brand and business goals/objectives
  • Create documentation and presentations to support and communicate digital strategies to internal teams and clients

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a similar product management role
  • Experience of digital marketing related product development for local China market
  • Experience with Chinese digital media, social media, search management and analytics tools and resources
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts
  • Data driven – use data to inform key decisions. This includes analysing usage patterns to drive prioritization and adopting a test and learn approach to building product to inform product direction
  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into business and product requirements
  • Experience using sketches, workflows, wireframes and functional specifications to communicate requirements
  • An understanding of the luxury customer or working with luxury brands is desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Ability to problem-solve and work within a team environment
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, execute on projects, meet deadlines
  • Highly self-motivated and self-driven
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
