International Key Account Manager

The owner of this position, is responsible for the management and the leadership of the assigned Account Portfolio’s UK operations. This requires working closely with the  Account Manager holding the strategic relationship, implementing development plans that has been agreed while taking into account the local markets intricacies and managing the key local relationships.

Our Accounts are fashion and luxury brands who have a high percentage of tax free shoppers and that need support and consultancy in order to drive these shoppers into their stores around the world.

The professional takes care and is fully accountable of the relationship of the assigned Clients UK business and section of prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management via:
  • Detailed Account Planning:
    • Correct reading of the Client’s organization and strategy both at client HQ and country level;
    • Definition of strategy and vision on the client;
    • Definition of Objectives in terms of expected turnover, strategic initiatives and relationship management;
  • Support the implementation of negotiation strategies per client;
  • Support preparation making sure proper resources are allocated within and outside of the Account Team;
  • Establishing direct relationship with Key Decision Makers / Influencers (mostly Finance, Retail , Marketing, HR and IT department);
  • Definition and implementation of local Second Face Strategy (Including both COO, CEO, GAM Country Managing Directors and HOKA);
  • Business review meetings with all assigned accounts to analyse results and agree activities mutual important to develop the business;
  • Work with peers in other functions to get support, define priorities, coordinate activities and to get relevant information for proper client management;
  • Define prospect strategy and proper follow up on Top Prospect;
  • Support the management and implementation of contractual negotiations for gagreements;
  • Work with Account Managers, Country Managing Directors and Head of Key Accounts to understand the level of support and interaction required locally for the management of the portfolio;
  • Ensure that group and sales strategies, policies and applicable laws are fully respected;
  • Project ownership: coordinate client oriented project with several internal bodies (IT, Operations, Product, sales …).

  • Experience using CRM and financial / sales reporting systems
  • Good MS Office products knowledge

Background and Education

  • Solid Sales background in complex B2B long circle selling businesses
  • Minimum 6 years in Key sales positions ideally in international environment
  • Tendering Experience is a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • University Degree
